The NATO evaluation process was completed on June 21 and 28, 2024 respectively, which was conducted using NATO SOFEVAL criteria, of the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) in the role of the Special Operations Component Command (SOCC) and the Special Operations Air Task Units (SOATUs) of the Special Operations Air Task Group (SOATG) of the Special Warfare Command (SWC) of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS).
Through evaluation processes conducted by the Allied Special Operations Forces Command (ASOFCOM), in which both JSOC and SOATUs were deemed “Combat Ready” to conduct Special Operations missions, SWC personnel were exercised and tested in complex and realistic scenarios that highlighted the professionalism and high level of training of those involved.
It is emphasized that these evaluations are a continuation of the corresponding successful procedures for the NATO evaluation of the SWC Unit level entities in recent years, which proves the rapid adaptation of the Hellenic Armed Forces to the requirements of allied standards and procedures.
