On Tuesday, February 4 2025, within the framework of international cooperation between the Hellenic Armed Forces and allied and friendly countries, the “Joint Action Plan (JAP) Greece-Cyprus-Egypt” and the “Greece-Egypt Military Cooperation Program” for the year 2025 were signed, at the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS).
Both the “Joint Action Plan” and the “Military Cooperation Program” are a continuation of the respective programs signed in 2024 and include, among other things:
- Operational training.
- Special Forces – Special Operations Forces joint training.
- Cooperation in Army Aviation, Military Medicine and Military History.
- Weapon systems simulator training.
- Participation in trainings of the Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC).
All cooperative actions confirm the strong military ties between the countries and aim to upgrade the operational capabilities of the participants’ Armed Forces and enhance their level of interoperability, highlighting Greece’s, Cyprus’ and Egypt’s role as pillars of security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
