On Wednesday, February 07 2024, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS) General Dimitrios Choupis had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee (CMC) Admiral Rob Bauer (Royal Netherlands Navy).
During the communication, issues of particular strategic importance were discussed, as well as current regional and international defence and security challenges, with special emphasis on the latest developments in Ukraine and the Middle East. The Chief of the HNDGS emphasized the significant role played by our country in fostering stability and security in the region.
Admiral Rob Bauer congratulated the Chief of the HNDGS on assuming his duties and wished him success in his work, while the Chief of the HNDGS extended an invitation for an official visit to our country at the earliest convenience.
