From Thursday 15 February to Monday 4 March 2024, as part of the military cooperation between Greece and the United Kingdom, the bilateral training named «HIGHLAND KHUKRI – 24» took place in Scotland.

  The training, which was a LIVEX/FTX (Live Exercise/Field Training Exercise) type exercise, focused on planning and conducting operations in a mountainous environment. Throughout its duration, participants had the opportunity to practice complex operational scenarios, which contributed to enhancing cooperation, increasing combat capability, and improving interoperability.

  From the Greek side, personnel and assets from the Special Warfare Command (SWC) of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS) participated, while personnel and assets from the 2nd Royal Gurkha Rifles Battalion and the 16 Air Assault Brigade Combat Team participated from the United Kingdom side.
