From Tuesday 2nd to Thursday 4th of July 2024, personnel of the Special Warfare Command (SWC) of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), participated in the international military sniper competition «SNIPERS FEST-24», held in Rulka, Lithuania and organized by the Training Center «Major Juozas Luksa» of the Lithuania Armed Forces.
The pair of the SWC Snipers took the 9th place among the 27 participating NATO member states, reflecting the high level of training and professionalism of the personnel of the Hellenic Special Operations Forces – Special Forces.
The purpose of the competition was to exchange experience and strengthen the ties between the snipers of the participating countries, as well as to increase their combat capability and interoperability.
