From Wednesday 22 May 2024 the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS) General Dimitrios Choupis, paid an official visit to Romania upon the invitation of his counterpart, General Gheorghiță Vlad, and as part of his presence at the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum, held in Bucharest on 23 and 24 May 2024.
On Thursday 23 May 2024, the official reception took place at the Headquarters of the Romanian Armed Forces, followed by a meeting between the two Chiefs, during which issues of mutual interest were discussed, with an emphasis on the current situation at the regional and international levels, as well as the possibility of further enhancing the existing relations between the Armed Forces of the two countries.
A tour of the National Military Museum followed, during which the Chief of the HNDGS had the opportunity to inform about the milestones of Romania’s history and culture.
