From Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 February 2025, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan paid an official visit to Greece at the invitation of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS) General Dimitrios Choupis.
On Thursday February 27, 2025 Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan, after laying a wreath at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, was received by the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS) General Dimitrios Choupis at Camp “PAPAGOU”. During their meeting, issues of Defense Policy and ways to further strengthen the ties between the Armed Forces of the two countries were discussed.
The visit will conclude on Friday, February 28, with a briefing at the Hellenic Army Academy (HAA) regarding the academy’s work and a tour of its facilities, followed by a visit to the Special Forces Training Center (SFTC) in Nea Peramos, Attica, where Lieutenant General Asryan will attend a demonstration of training activities and equipment receive a briefing on the training Center’s activities.
