On Monday, January 15 2024, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS) General Dimitrios Choupis met at his office with Supreme President Mr. Savas Tsivicos and Executive Director Mr. Basil Mossaidis of the American Hellenic Progressive Association (AHEPA), along with members of the organization, accompanied by the Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, Mr. Yiannis Chrysoulakis.
During the meeting, AHEPA members congratulated the Chief of the HNDGS on assuming his duties and wished him success in his challenging work. Subsequently, issues of mutual interest were discussed, with an emphasis on shaping current developments and the international security environment.
Among other topics, the Chief of the HNDGS praised the significant role played by AHEPA in promoting Greek-American relations and supporting the Greek diaspora, both in the United States and in other countries. He also highlighted the pivotal contribution of AHEPA to the development of bilateral relations and the promotion of national issues.
