From Monday 9 to Wednesday 11 December 2024, the 18th Single European Sky Military Aviation Board Policy Level (SES ESMAB PL) of the European Defense Organization meeting, was hosted in Athens by the support of the Air Defense Directorate of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDG).
The purpose of the meeting, was the potential adoption of common military positions and the safeguarding of military interests in matters concerning the Single European Sky (SES) initiative.
During the meeting, among other things, topics including the implementation of European air traffic management regulations, unmanned aerial vehicle flights, and the potential impacts of the European Air Traffic Management Master Plan on Military Flights were discussed.
As part of the meeting, the committee visited the Tanagra Air Base (114th Combat Wing), where participants were briefed on the mission and activities of the 114th CW and were given a tour of the unclassified areas of the unit.
