On Friday 14 February 2020 the Chief of Defence (CHOD) General Konstantinos Floros attended the Distinguished Visitors Day (DV Day) of the international Field Training Exercise/Live Exercise (FTX/LIVEX) “GOLDEN FLEECE-20”.
The FTX/LIVEX took place from 10 up to 14 February 2020 in the vicinity of firing range “ASKOS – PROFITIS”. It was planned by the Hellenic Army General Staff (HAGS) and was focused on peace support operations and combined arms attacks with the use of live fire. The participating forces were from Albania, Bulgaria, the Republic of North Macedonia, the USA, Romania and Serbia and Greece (personnel and assets of the 1st Infantry Division and the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Division participated).
The DV Day activities were also attended by representatives of the Hellenic Parliament, the Chief of the HAGS Lieutenant General Haralambos Lalousis, the Chief of Defence of the Republic of North Macedonia Major Ge-neral Vasko Cjurchinovski, delegations of the participating countries and others.
