From 12 to 23 May 2024, as part of the international collaborations of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), the Armed Forces participated with personnel from the Special Warfare Command (SWC) in the multinational exercise named «EAGER LION – 24» held in Jordan.
The purpose of this activity, which involved a total of 33 countries and takes place biennially in Jordan, was to exchange expertise and enhance interoperability among the participants.
This year’s scenario involved addressing regional challenges across all dimensions of the battlefield, as well as supporting multinational disaster response operations and providing humanitarian assistance.
Part of the exercise activities was attended by the Commander of the SWC, Lieutenant General Prokopios Mavraganis, as the representative of the Chief of the HNDGS, General Dimitrios Choupis.
