It is announced that the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Grapsas, will attend the 160th Meeting of the NATO Military Committee (160th MC/CS), in Chiefs of Staff Session, to be held on 14 and 15 May 2008 in Brussels.
The issues to be discussed at the MC, concern the current NATO KFOR (Kosovo) and ISAF (Afghanistan) Operations, as well as actions on military issues that derived from the Bucharest Summit; special sessions will take place with non-member nations that contribute with forces in NATO ops.
There will also be meetings of the NATO Military Committee, in Chiefs of Staff Session, with the Chiefs of Staff of the Mediterranean Dialogue Countries, the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC), and from Russia and Ukraine. In these meetings, the issues to be discussed will refer to the current NATO operations, with participation of other partner countries, the actions for the improvement of their Armed Forces’ interoperability through relative co-operation programmes, as well as the progress on the transformation of their Armed Forces.
