It is announced that the Joint Chiefs of the General Staff Council during the 1st of March 2008 session decided:
a. Hellenic Army
(1) To promote to the rank of Lieutenant General the following to fill the vacant posts:
(a) Major General (HA) Spiridon Papadakis
(b) Major General (HA) Georgios Vezos
(c) Major General (HA) Konstantinos Katis
(d) Major General (HA) Ioannis Giabouras
(e) Major General (HA) Ioannis Koletsos
(f) Major General (HA) Dimitrios Liberis
(g) Major General (HA) Georgios Tamouridis
(2) To retire the following “as successfully terminating their career“:
(a) Lieutenant General (HA) Dionisios Theodoritsis
(b) Lieutenant General (HA) Charilaos Boukovalas
(c) Lieutenant General (HA) Dimitrios Kostoglidis
(d) Lieutenant General (HA) Spiridon Tsironis

b. Hellenic Air Force to promote to the rank of Lieutenant General the following to fill vacant posts:

c. At the Hellenic Recruiting Corps during the annual ordinary session for the years 2008-2009 decided:
(1) To maintain at the same rank the following :
(a) Brigadier General Gregorios Dimopoulos
(b) Brigadier General Georgios Poulos
(2) To retire the following “as successfully terminating their career”:
(1) Brigadier General Naoum Tzifras
