It is announced that the Armed Forces Day will be celebrated on the 21st of November. During the day the following events will take place:
Formal Raising of the Greek Flag on the Holy Rock of the Acropolis at 08.00h. Holy Service at the Athens Cathedral, at 10.15h immediately followed by the lay of wreath at the Shrine of the Unknown Soldier by Civil and Military Representatives, at 11.00h. Formal Lowering of the Greek Flag on the Holy rock of the Acropolis, at 17.10h.
A formal reception in honor of the State and Civil Authorities, as well as foreign Civil and Military Representatives, will be held by the Armed Forces Leadership at the Armed Forces Officers Club, at 19.30h.
Additionally on the Hellenic National Defence General Staff web site there is an anniversary commemoration to the Armed Forces Day with photographs, historical information and archive documentation.
