It is announced that, the Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff of Poland, General Franciszek Gagor, paid an official visit to Greece, from November 3rd to November 4th 2007, following an invitation extended from the Hellenic Chief /HNDGS, General Dimitrios Grapsas.
The Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff of Poland, following a full Honors Ceremony at PAPAGOY Military Camp had cooperation talks with the Hellenic Chief /HNDGS on military issues of common interest and the prospect of further development of military cooperation between the two countries as well as the field service use of the AMSCC by the Polish Armed Forces. Further more, the issue of cooperation in the field of training and support concerning F-16 aircrafts was also in the agenda.
The Armed Forces General Staff Chief of Poland presented his points of view regarding the Polish candidacy for the NATO Military Committee Chairmanship. Additionally the two Chiefs exchanged views on the security situation in Southeast Europe and military issues at an International Level.
During his visit in Greece, the Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff of Poland had guided tours to museums and archaeological sites.
