It is announced that the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Admiral Panagiotis Chinofotis HN, will attend the 157th Meeting of the NATO Military Committee, in Chiefs of Staff session, to be held on the 9th and 10th of May 2007, in Brussels.
The issues to be discussed during the meeting will concern in general the current NATO operations, KFOR (Kosovo) and ISAF (Afganistan), the operational capabilities of the NATO Response Force (NRF), the transformation of the Alliance, training and educational programmes and management of resources and capabilities.
There will also take place meetings of the Chiefs of Defence of the Mediterranean Dialogue Countries, the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC), the NATO-Russia Counsil, as well as with Ukraine. The issues to be discussed will refer to cooperation with Partners in NATO current operations and the related Cooperation Programs.
Additionally, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff will inform his counterparts of the outcome of the 1st Balkan CHODs Conference, which took place from 17 to 19 April 2007, at Thessaloniki .
