It is announced that the Chief of the Armed Forces of Cameroon, Major General Rene Claude Meka, will pay an official visit to Greece, from 27 to 31 March 2007, officially invited by the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Admiral Panagiotis Chinofotis HN.
 
     The Chief of the Armed Forces of Cameroon, following a full Honours Ceremony at “PAPAGOY” Military Base, will have cooperation with the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, on issues of common military interest and the prospect of further developing military cooperation between the two countries.
 
     Additionally he will visit Military Units, Training Centres, Military Academies, the 424 General Military Hospital and facilities of the Hellenic Defence industry.
 
     Since 1967, Greece and Cameroon have greatly evolved in developing their military cooperation and particularly in training related issues. Up to date, 180 cadres of the Cameroon Armed Forces have graduated from Hellenic Military Training Institutes, whilst this academic year, 10 cadres are attending cources at Hellenic Military Schools.
 
     General Rene Claude Meka will also have a courtesy call with the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr Vasilios Mihaloliakos.
 
     During his visit in Greece, General Rene Claude Meka will also have guided tours at museums and archaeological sites.
