On Wednesday 15 February 2017, the HNDGS Chief, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN, met at his office with the NSHQ Commander, Vice Admiral Colin J. Kilrain (USN), who is paying an official visit to Greece from 14 to 17 February 2017.
During the meeting, they discussed issues related to the mission and operation of the SOCCE FW, operating in NMIOTC premises in Crete, as well as cooperation that can be implemented and actions required to meet the NATO targets on the special operations sector.
During his visit at the HNDGS HQs, common interest issues were brought up by relevant staff officers. Subsequently, the NSHQ Commander visited various Hellenic Special Operations Forces headquarters in the area of Attica, where he attended current operational training activities.
On Thursday 16 February 2017, the NSHQ Commander will visit NMIOTC, SOCCE FW and Hellenic Special Operations Forces Units in Crete.
