On Thursday, 22 November 2018, the European Union Hybrid Exercise Multilayer 18 (PACE) Day of Distinguished Visitors was held at the European Union Operational Headquarters in Larissa. The DV Day was attended by the Deputy Chief of the HNDGS, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Floros, representing HNDGS Chief.
EU HEX-ML 18 (PACE) is a large-scale EU exercise in crisis management, involving relevant civil and military authorities.
The exercise lasts 5 weeks and runs in 2 phases. The first phase included the design at a political-strategic level and took place in Brussels. The second phase includes military planning and is being conducted at the Hellenic EU Operational Headquarters from 5 to 23 November 2018. A total of 160 staff personnel from 13 countries participate in the exercise.
