On Wednesday, June 5 2019, the Greek Chief of Defence (CHOD) General Christos Christodoulou (Hellenic Air Force), attended the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy ceremony, following a formal invitation by the United Kingdom (UK) Chief of the Defense Staff, General Sir Nicholas Carter. The CHOD of other countries as well as Second World War veterans participated in the aforementioned ceremony in Portsmouth, which was organized by the United Kingdom Government.
