On Tuesday 19 May the Commander of the Hellenic Forces in Afghanistan with an officers’ delegation paid a visit to the deaf children school in Kabul, located in the centre of the capital. The school houses 260 deaf students and 20 more children with special needs, at its appropriate branch.
The Commander of the Hellenic Forces in Afghanistan met with the Principle of the school (who is also a deaf person). The officers donated to the school drawing boards, in order to cover the teaching needs, food for the children’s daily meals and other gifts.
In addition, the Hellenic Forces have occasionally received in their Camp in Afghanistan visits by students of various local schools oh the area.
