It is announced that the Chief / HNDGS General Dimitrios Grapsas attended the 161st NATO MC meeting, held in Brussels on the 6 and 7 May 2009, at CHOD level.

The issues discussed at the MC in general concerned the current NATO Operations (KFOR – ISAF), the transfer of authority to the Afghan Security Forces and the NATO Operation in opposing piracy.

Additionally the progress made on the sector concerning the defense revision of the NATO member states Armed Forces and the actualization of objectives in order to enhance the interoperability by way of corresponding cooperation programs.

Concluding on 8 May, the CHODS were briefed by the SACT (Supreme Allied Commander Transformation) on the Multiple Futures Project (MFP) and the Education Training Exercise and Evaluation Project (ETEE), which are related to the revised policy of the Alliance concerning training, exercise and the evaluation of Units and personnel of NATO.
