It is announced that the 22nd Conference of Military Physicians will be held in Thessaloniki, at “Makedonia Palace” Hotel, from 6 to 9 November 2008.
It is the most important scientific event of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff and is held on a biannual basis. The Medical Corps of the three Services of the Armed Forces, Medical Faculties of all Universities of Greece, eminent professors from abroad and 2.500 participants will attend the Conference.
The Conference has a history of 38 years and is held in Thessaloniki where most of the Medical officers of the Armed Forces started their career as students at the Corps Officers Military Academy and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The Conference is a forum to exchange scientific knowledge and experience, so that the Medical personnel can keep up with the rapid developments in biology and technology. Additionally, cooperation is enhanced so as to meet the new challenges that the Military Medical Corps faces.
Scientific issues of all branches of medicine as well as military issues regarding organization and readiness in fulfilling the mission of the Medical Corps will be discussed during the Conference.
There will be 28 Round Tables, two Satellite Symposia, 20 lectures, 227 oral announcements and 296 posters.
