The annual Nursing Officers Academy graduate’s Gala and Ball took place on the premises of the Academy on Friday, 15 February 2008.
The EU Parliament Member, Mr. Manolis Agelakas, the B’ Deputy Chief/HNDGS, the HNDGS Med. Division Director , the HAFGS Med. Division Director, the Commandant of the Firefighting Academy and other Flag Officers attended the ceremony.
The composer Mr. Mimis Plesas and his wife, Mrs Loukila Karer, graced the event with their presence. Mr. Agelos Andrianos performed some of the composer’s best-known songs accompanied by the Academy’s chorus, under the direction of the Music Professor, Dr. Alexandros Stoupakis. The Academy’s dancing team performed traditional dances from various parts of Greece under the supervision of master of traditional dancing, Dr. Polikarpos Kelesidis. All music for the evening was performed by the Hellenic Navy Musical Band.
