It is announced that, the 2nd Nursing Conference of the Armed Forces will take place at the “Grecotel Athens Imperial” Hotel in Athens from 23rd to 24th of November 2007. The Conference was introduced in 2005 and is conducted every two years in Athens, on the premises of the Nursing Academy.

The purpose of the Conference is to keep Officers and civilian nursing personnel continuously informed on scientific matters, regarding developments in the Science of Nursing within the Armed Forces, as well as an opportunity to enhance cooperation with their medical colleagues in Greece and abroad.

The Conference scientific schedule includes round-table conversations, lectures, open announcements and clinical tutorials.  The  issues of discussion are pertain to  nursing training, transplants, ensuring provisional  health  quality,  health treatment within the Armed Forces, international terrorism, robotic surgery, administration of Health Services, Peace-keeping missions, clinic nursing, first degree health care, mental health and intensive care treatment.

The opening ceremony, at the   “King George Palace” Hotel, on 23 November 2007 20.00h, will have Mr. Anastassios Manthos, Dean of the “Aristotelian” University in Thessaloniki, as main lecturer.
