It is announced that, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Grapsas, will pay a three-day official visit to Serbia from October 31st to November 2nd 2007, following an invitation extended by the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Zdravko Ponos.
The two CHODs will have cooperation talks on military issues of mutual interest. Additionally, there will be a presentation of the reorganization of the Serbian Armed Forces. Further prospect of development of the existing military partnership will also be examined. Additionally to the above mentioned, military matters at international level will also be on the agenda.
The Chief /HNDGS will also pay a courtesy visit to the Serbian Minister of Defence Mr. Dragan Sutanovic and will visit military installations as well as the Special Forces Brigade.
Finally, the Chief /HNDGS will also visit the Military Cemetery at Pirot, for a wreath laying ceremony, in memory of the Hellenic Officers and Soldiers, who fell in the field of combat, while taking part in operations in the region during World War I (1918).
