It is announced that, the Chief of the National Defence General Staff of the Lithuanian Republic, General Valdas Tuktus, will pay an official visit to Greece from the 11th to the 13th of July 2007, invited by the Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, Admiral Panagiotis Chinofotis, HN. It is noted that, it is the first official visit of a Lithuanian CHOD in Greece.
The Chief of the Lithuanian National Defence General Staff, following a full honors welcome ceremony at “PAPAGOS” camp, will have cooperation with the Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, on bilateral military issues, and the perspective of further broadening cooperation between the two countries, in the frame of NATO and the E.U. Additionally, General Valdas Tuktus is also scheduled to visit the Hellenic Navy Fleet Command.
The Chief of the Lithuanian National Defence General Staff of the Lithuanian Republic, will have a courtesy call to the Hellenic Minister of National Defense, Mr. Evangelos Meimarakis.
During his stay in Greece, the Lithuanian CHOD will also have guided tours at museums and archaeological sites.
