It is announced that, on Friday the 15th of June 2007 at 10:00, at the Armed Forces Officers Club, the graduation ceremony for the 70 graduates of the 59th graduate series of the National Defense College will take place. The diplomas will be awarded by HE, the president of Hellenic Republic Mr. Karolos Papoulias. At the ceremony will be present the Deputy Minister of National Defense Mr. Vasilios Mihaloliakos representing the Hellenic Government, the third Vice President of the Hellenic Parliament Mr. Ioannis Tragakis representing the President of the Hellenic Parliament, the Elder Mr. Dimitrios Nikou representing the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, the Member of Parliament Mr. Vassilios Oikonomou representing the Head Opposition Party, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, Admiral Panagiotis Chinofotis HN, the Chiefs of General Staff of the Navy, General Staff of the Army, and General Staff of the Air Force, Vice Admiral Dimitrios Gousis HN, the Lieutenant General Panagiotis Grapsas HA, and the Lieutenant General Ioannis Giagos HAF respectively, as well as the Chief of the Fire Departement Lieutenant General Andreas Kois.
In the 2006-2007 educational period which is coming to an end, the courses were attended by: 39 Officers from the Army, 8 Officers from the Navy, 8 Officers from the Air Force, 1 Officer from the Hellenic Police Department, 2 Officers from the Port Police Department, 1 Officer from the Fire Brigade, 1 permanent political employee of the National Inteligence Service. Further more, in the student body were included 1 Officer from Egypt, 1 Officer from Albania, 1 Officer from Bosnia Herzegovina, 5 Officers from Cyprus and finally 1 Officer from Serbia.
