It is announced that the Chief of the Armed Forces of Mauritania, Colonel Abderrahmane Ould Boubacar, will pay an official visit to Greece from 22 to 24 January 2007, officially invited by the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Admiral Panagiotis Chinofotis.
Following the full honour ceremony at “PAPAGOU” military base, the Chief of the Armed Forces of Mauritania will have formal discussion with the Chief/HNDGS on issues of mutual interest and the possibility for further development of military cooperation between the two countries. Additionally, Colonel Abderrahmane Ould Boubacar will visit the Special Forces Training Center and the Hellenic Defence Industry (EAB) facilities.
The Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff of Mauritania will have courtesy call with the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Evangelos Meimarakis.
During his stay in Greece, Colonel Abderrahmane Ould Boubacar will have guided tours at museums and archaeological sites.
