The Hellenic National Defence General Staff announces that on 20 Sep 2006 at 09.42 hours, two Turkish F-16 aircraft flew behind a Hellenic Navy Cooperation Aircraft, at a distance of 5.5 km, at 40 nautical miles north of Agios Efstratios island location, without hindering or harassing the flight of the Hellenic aircraft.
The two Turkish aircraft did not follow the air traffic control rules during their entrance into the Athens FIR.
