During the Neutral Evacuation Operation (NEO) to safely move out of Lebanon Greeks and other nationals and also to transport humanitarian aid, Hellenic Navy ships and Hellenic Air Force aircraft conducted the following sorties :
Thursday, 20 July : A C-130 aircraft flew 91 civilians from Larnaca, Cyprus to Athens,Greece.
Thursday, 20 July: A C-130 aircraft transported humanitarian aid to Cyprus, consisting of medicine (9 tons), blankets and other materiel (total weight: 9 tons). On the flight back, the aircraft transferred 66 evacuees (from Lebanon) to Greece.
Thursday, 20 July: A C-130 aircraft transported humanitarian aid to Cyprus, consisting of medicine, alimentation and other material (total weight:13 tons). On the flight back, the aircraft transferred 38 evacuees (from Lebanon) to Greece.
Friday, 21 July: Landing ship « IKARIA» (LSTH) transferred to Beirut a first load of humanitarian aid from Greece and the E.U.
On the way back, 384 civilians, among which 33 Greeks, were taken to Cyprus. The also ship evacuated nationals from other countries, namely: Cyprus, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Malta, Slovenian Republic, Canada, Philippines , U.K, Italy, Austria, France, Brazil, Australia, Ethiopia, Mexico, the U.S.A , Belgium, Colombia, Panama, Russia, Ireland, Romania, Venezuela and Sweden.
Friday, 21 July: A C-130 aircraft took humanitarian aid to Larnaca, Cyprus. The humanitarian aid consisted of medicines tents and other materiel of 14 tons total weight.
Saturday, 22 July: Landing ship «RODOS» (LSTH) transported to Beirut humanitarian aid from Greece (14 tons) and Cyprus. On the way back, 148 civilians, among which 11 Greeks, were taken to Cyprus. The ship evacuated nationals from other countries, namely: Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Cuba, Lebanon, Venezuela, France, the Netherlands, Palestine, Denmark, Kolombia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Belarus, the USA and Romania.
