From 7th to 9th of June 2016, the 7th NMIOTC Annual Conference on theme “Challenges to Maritime Security Derived from Transnational Organized Crime at Sea”, was conducted at NMIOTC and was attended by 155 participants from 25 ΝΑΤΟ member states, partner countries and NATO organizations, countries outside the NATO structure, as well as representatives from the international academic, business and shipping community.

The aim of the conference was to discuss issues related to the complexity of threats to maritime security posed by transnational organized crime at sea and to provide proposals and solutions related to this global security challenge.
