From 22 until 25 October 2016, the Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwait Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Kheder is paying an official visit to Greece, following an invitation extended to by the HNDGS Chief, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN.
On Monday 24 October 2016, the Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, accompanied by the Kuwait Air Force Commander, Major General Abdullah Al-Foundari, and the Kuwait Navy Commander, Major General Khaled Ali Abdullah, who are also paying an official visit to Greece , following an invitations extended to by their counterparts, HAFGS Chief, Lieutenant General Christos Vaitsis, and HNGS Chief, Vice Admiral George Giakoumakis HN, respectively, laid a wreath at the Unknown Soldier monument. Subsequently, the official reception ceremony took place at the HNDGS HQs.
During the bilateral staff talks, the HNDGS Chief and the Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces discussed the current security challenges as well as issues related to the military cooperation between the two countries.
