On Thursday, 20 June 2019, the Chief of Defense (CHOD), General Christos Christodoulou, met with the Commander of the US 6th Fleet, Vice Admiral Lisa M. Franchetti. They discussed matters of mutual interest regarding the cooperation between the two countries, as well as security issues in the Balkan region and the Middle East. The commander of the US 6th Fleet pays an official visit to Greece from 19 to 21 June 2019, in the context of bilateral contacts.
