It is announced that NATO Crisis Management Exercise, under the name “CMX-12”, is being conducted from 12 to 16 November 2012. It has been annually conducted since 1992 to exercise the personnel (military and civilians) in crisis management procedures, at strategic level.
The participants will be exercised in holding discussions and making collective decisions concerning the Alliance, at strategic political – military level, when threat, originating from the proliferation of mass destruction weapons, the NBC war and cyber war, is faced.
NATO member – states, in their capitals, NATO Strategic Commands (SHAPE, SACT), NATO Hqs (IS, IMS) as well as non-NATO member-states and International Organizations participate in the exercise and no forces will be deployed.
Except from the personnel of the HNDGS and the other three General Staffs, personnel from the following Bodies participate at national level:

Ministry of Development, Competitiveness, Infrastructure, Transportation and Networks
Minstry of Health
Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights
Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection (Hellenic Police, Fire fighting Service, National Intelligence Service, Secretariat General for Civil Protection)
Ministry of Shipping and the Aegean
Secretariat General of Information and Communication
Mass Media Secretariat General.
