It is announced that from 29 to 30 November 2011, a three membered team of Swedish evaluators conducted an inspection to Greece, in the context of the implementation of the Vienna Document 1999.
The aim of the inspection is to verify that within the determined area limits no unnotified military activities are conducted.
The Vienna Document 1999 is a politically binding document which is comprised of an extended Confidence and Security Building Measures list.
Article 9 of the Document provides for visiting inspectors, aiming to verify the annual data exchanged among contracting countries. The evaluations are held in Army and Air Force active Units and Formations of OSCE member-states.
The team of Swedish evaluators visited the B’ Army Corps and the 32nd Marine Brigade.
