From September 19th to September 30th the Maritime Operational Terminology Course (MOTC) 2011 was conducted in NMIOTC premises. The NATO Maritime Operational Terminology Course enhanced the ability of NATO and partner nation’s navy to effectively integrate themselves and the units under their command staff level.


Students attending MOTC had the opportunity to work closely with senior NMIOTC and US navy Instructors, to discuss a wide range of current maritime and terminology topics with a specific focus on the ongoing NATO maritime interdiction and counter –piracy operations. In total 13 trainees participated in the course coming from Algeria, Czech Reb, Greece, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Mauritania, Romania, Tunisia and Ukraine.
