<p>On Wednesday 9 December 2015, the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Hegazy, following an invitation extended by the HNDGS Chief, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN, participated in the Distinguished Visitors Day (DV Day), in the frame of the Bilateral Maritime Exercise "MEDUSA 2015", held in Crete.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In the above context the two Chiefs of Defence visited:</p>
<ul>
<li>the 115 CW, where they met with the crews of HAF F-16 and the redeployed EAF F-16, involved in the exercise.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>the NATO Maritime Interdiction Training Centre (NMIOTC), where they were briefed on the exercise, the capabilities of the NMIOTC as well as the targeted training provided to the Egyptian Navy Ships crew member on MIO.</li>
</ul>
<p>Subsequently the two CHODs attended a series of exercise “MEDUSA 2015” drills on board HS PSARA, where bilateral talks were held as well.</p><br/><br/>
